AMS on NYTimes.com Home Page
Today's NY Times piece about using the "growth model" for analyzing test scores and mainstreaming would be an obvious item on our new Web site's front page, don't you think?
If it were a blog post, it could be something from the principal or Dr. Allen or Dr. Maurer that talks in a bit more depth about the approach and why we're doing it. If it is in the standard news model, it might just be a reference to the article.
This is actually a item to discuss how we'd envision it appearing on the front page of the new site. For example, would it be: (1) A title only, with a direct link to the NY Times article, (2) A title with a short paragraph summarizing the article and a link to the article, (3) A title, short summary, and added commentary by Dr. Maurer or Amy Watkins or Lauren Allen explaining more about we are doing, along with a link to the article, or (4) something else?

I vote for short annotations to accompany the posted links. In addition, I would like to see an admin blog on our web site. Consider it a "high-risk, high-reward" endeavor.
